DeKALB – The Tails Humane Society’s Pet of the week is a 8-month-old coonhound and bluetick mix named Atticus Boone with a great nose and soft-silky ears.

Atticus Boone is a smart dog able to learn anything he is taught. He has lived with cats and had a great friendship with his feline friends. He is still learning how to be social with dogs. Inquiring owners are free to bring their dogs over to meet and get to know Atticus Boone. He is a bit shy when first meeting people, but warms up once given the chance according to his description on Tails’ website. After that, he’s full of kisses.

If interested in adopting, Tails Humane Society, 2250 Barber Greene Road, is open for walk-ins from noon to 7 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5:30 p.m. on weekends.
