Warm feelings?

Just a brief note to tell you and the campus at large how deeply moved I was by English major Derek Unnasch’s letter of April 3. Unnasch is a living, breathing, homo-bashing example of how wonderfully moral development is fostered by the thorough grounding in Proper English Usage offered to impressionable young people within our English Dept.

As I basked in the sweetness and light of Unnasch’s words, I could not help but feel warmly towards not just Mr. Unnasch but towards the fine people who taught him to think so clearly and express himself so eloquently. The only thing missing from Unnasch’s well-wrought piece of rhetoric is a direct appeal to biblical authority. I will make up for this by closing with one of my own: by their fruits ye shall know them.
