When students do something to show their seriousness on the racism issue people want to say how appalled and upset they are. Well, I’m writing to say that maybe you’re upset because the truth hurts or are you upset because we come together as a people. The bottom line is racism is here, and it’s being ignored.

The acts committed Friday were highly justifiable for the simple fact that The Northern Star has been biased ever since I’ve been reading it. No, most of the time you don’t come out and say it, but it’s said one way or another.

I encourage the people to speak up and be heard. Take whatever time you need to express your feelings because it’s time for a change and the time is now.
