Although it’s April, the 1991-92 NIU women’s basketball season isn’t over yet. The Huskies continue the fun by holding their Annual Awards Banquet a week from Sunday (April 18) at 5 p.m. in the Chick Evans Field House.

Fans are encouraged to join the players and staff in reliving the “highly explosive” campaign, which included a North Star Conference postseason tournament trophy and an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Cost for the banquet, catered by the Country Inn Restaurant, is $14 for adults and $10 for children.

“This is a good way for our fans to share in the festivities,” NIU coach Albright-Dieterle said. “This was an extremely challenging year for us. While we had some lows, we also had some incredible highs. Our fans were there with us every step of the way, and we appreciate that, so who else would we want to share our memories with?”
