Women’s track and field

Friday, Feb. 25 to Saturday, Feb. 26

MAC Indoor Championships (all day) –  Kent State Field House (Kent, Ohio) | Watch

Connie Teaberry and the NIU track and field team will make their way to Kent, Ohio, as they compete in the Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday. NIU will make every effort over the two-day long event to reclaim the crown after winning the team championship in 2021.

Sunday, Feb. 27

On the heels of a mixed performance at the FAU First Pitch Classic last weekend, the NIU softball program travels south for a three-day outing at the Frost Classic on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. There, the Huskies will attempt to improve upon their 1-3 record to start the season.

Women’s gymnastics

Friday, Feb. 25

at Ball State University @ 6 p.m. – Convocation Center (DeKalb, Ill.) | TV: ESPN3

The NIU gymnastics squad will compete in their final home meet of the season when they welcome MAC rival Ball State to town Friday. The Huskies will seek to improve upon their 9-6 overall and 2-2 conference records as the seniors make their final appearance in the cardinal and black in DeKalb.

Women’s basketball

Saturday, Feb. 26

at Ball State University @ noon – Worthen Arena (Muncie, Ind.) | TV: ESPN3

Women’s basketball heads to Muncie to do battle with the fourth-seeded team in the conference in Ball State. NIU will play the Cardinals as part of a two-game road trip before returning home for their regular season finale in their quest for a berth in the MAC Women’s Basketball Tournament.

Men’s basketball

Saturday, Feb. 26

at University at Buffalo @ 1 p.m. – Alumni Arena (Buffalo, N.Y.) | TV: ESPN3

Men’s basketball has found themselves on the outside looking in as they sit at ninth in the MAC with just under two weeks left until the beginning of the postseason. The Huskies travel to the Empire State Saturday as they attempt to avenge Thursday’s 79-68 loss to the Buffalo Bulls and snap a three-game losing streak.

Sunday, Feb. 27

at Drake University @ 10 a.m. CT – Roger Knapp Tennis Center (Des Moines, Iowa)

The NIU women’s tennis team heads west to Iowa for their second road trip of the year, facing off against Northern Iowa and Drake. The Huskies will attempt to change their fortunes on the road after losing their sole away game thus far to the University of Notre Dame on Feb. 6.
