The full moon in astrology often symbolizes a period of heightened creativity and fulfilled potential.

The full moon in Virgo occurs Friday. Be prepared for the energy to be loving and grounding. Intense emotions may come out to play because of this as well. Your friends may act elusive or unfeeling in this time depending on how they deal with stress, but overall, it shouldn’t be a concern. Remember to encourage your loved ones, and they will encourage you back.

Aries (March 21 to April 19)

Check in with yourself. Are you OK? It’s so easy to bottle up your feelings and save them for explosive outbursts later, but deep down, you know this isn’t healthy. Try talking to someone about your feelings. You don’t need to deal with your struggles completely alone; chances are, whomever you open up to will be understanding.

Taurus (April 20 to May 20)

Be open to criticism. People likely confront you about your faults because they want to see you improve and thrive, not because they want you to feel lesser. Learn to take criticism as a compliment, instead of stubbornly believing the worst of people’s intentions. The world is not out to get you.

Gemini (May 21 to June 20)

Throw yourself a party! You’re likely excited about life right now — the weather is warming up, we’re on spring break and summer is around the corner. I encourage you to hold onto this excitement, and maybe extend your festive energy into a real, multi-person party. Remember COVID safety if you do so.

Cancer (June 21 to July 22)

Do you feel out of the loop? This is common for many water and fire signs right now. If you do feel unmotivated or dejected, don’t give up completely. Maybe this is simply a waiting period for you, after which you can emerge and accomplish much greater than you could have before in this time of stillness.

Leo (July 23 to Aug. 22)

Don’t falter now. You’ve made many important decisions that you now need to stay committed to. You might not be used to commitment, so if it feels hard, just know that it’s a muscle you get to utilize and strengthen. Also, you have supporters cheering you on! Don’t forget about them; in fact, send some gratitude their way.

Virgo (Aug. 23 to Sept. 22)

Boost your self-esteem. It would do you good to find confidence that doesn’t come from outside sources of validation. While it has merit, its effects are far more fleeting. Recognize your own strengths and compliment yourself on them. You are independent for good reason; don’t let insecurity in yourself drag you down.

Libra (Sept. 23 to Oct. 22)

Answer the call to be social. Like Gemini, you feel a need to shake things up, but you want to do it in a more sophisticated way: you want a reason to wear your nice going-out clothes. However you do it, whether at home with board games and charcuterie or at a fancy brunch place, stay COVID safe as much as you can.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)

Practice patience. Despite being a water sign, there can often be a spark inside you that turns to a red-hot flame when things don’t go your way. Due to the current influence of earth and air signs, you might feel like it’s not “your” time. Perhaps it’s not. So use this time to quiet your mind and find peace in waiting.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 to Dec. 21)

Do what you know you need to do. This week is for your self-improvement and to catch up on the mundane aspects of life. Don’t worry about what others are doing — if it doesn’t concern you, there’s nothing you can do about it. Rest up, because while good is coming, you’ll still need to work your ass off for it.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 to Jan. 19)

Don’t feel bad about your level of progress. You’ve been putting in as much effort as possible for the work you believe in. If you did any more, you’d collapse from exhaustion or burnout. Taking a break is valid, and often necessary. You are exactly where you need to be in your work. Try to find comfort in that.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 to Feb. 18)

Embrace the “meh” energy. Life throws extremes at us so often that it can be unexpected to suddenly exist in a mental space of “just OK.” And this is not a bad or a good state — it simply is. Use this time for relaxing or for enrichment. I suggest watching a nature documentary while surrounded by pets or plushies.

Pisces (Feb. 19 to March 20)

Happy birth season! There’s so much you want to do and see, especially now that the weather is getting nicer. Maybe a picnic sounds like the perfect activity, or maybe going to a paint-and-sip is more your style. Bring out your inner cottagecore this week and go be soft with your friends or loved ones.
