SA to finish up budget process
February 7, 1992
After months of budget appropriations, the Student Association plans to finish up the tedious budget process Sunday.
Although last week’s meeting dealt almost entirely with budgets, “it will be the last of the regular budgets for this fiscal year,” said SA Vice President John Quilico. “It will also be the last discussion about supplemental budgets,” he added.
The SA approves budgets for all of the SA-recognized organizations on campus.
At the Internal Affairs meeting, which discusses the SA’s agenda, no new business was brought up to be discussed at Sunday’s SA meeting.
Quilico said he will look to the senate for approval of his nomination of Lance Schart for elections commissioner.
Currently Schart is an SA senator. If Schart is approved, he will have to resign his post and will be in charge of overseeing the entire SA election.
Besides the budget approvals and the decision about Schart, Quilico said there only will be basic future plans for the SA discussed.
“There will probably be a lot of planning and goal setting announced by Preston (Came, SA president).”
The meeting will be held on Sunday at 6 p.m. in the Holmes Student Center’s Skyroom.
