At this point in the semester, it can be easy to feel burned out. Take some time to take a break and relax. If you like to sit down and unwind by watching a show or film, here is what some of us at the Northern Star will be watching, and you should too.

Fresh (Hulu)

“Fresh” is a new horror-thriller film, released on Hulu January 20 of this year. The film was directed by Mimi Cave and stars Sebastian Stan, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Charlotte Le Bon, Brett Dier, Andrea Bang and Jonica T. Gibbs.

The film follows Noa, played by Edgar-Jones, and Steve, played by Sebastian Stan. Noa meets Steve after having dating issues and they hit it off. After things start to get serious, Noa starts to feel like something is off, and before long realizes that Steve has a horrific appetite. Although I haven’t had the chance to watch this film yet, I would advise against watching this while eating. – Madelaine Vikse, Lifestyle Editor

Moon Knight (Disney+)

“Moon Knight” is the latest Marvel Studios miniseries created for the streaming platform Disney+. So far there are only two episodes released on the platform with the first episode having been released on March 30. New episodes are released every Wednesday.

The series revolves around a man named Marc Spector, who has Dissociative Identity Disorder. He is a mercenary who is an avatar for an ancient Egyptian Moon deity named Khonshu. Due to Marc’s mental disorder, he has another personality named Steven Grant, in which we see most of the first episode from Steven’s perspective. This is one of the characters I was familiar with but have never read any of the source material, so I figured the series would be a nice way to explore a character I had little information about. I have already watched episode one but I’m excited about relaxing this weekend to watch episode two. – Kyron Lewis, Lifestyle Writer

Suits (Peacock)

“Suits” is one of my all-time favorite shows with its amazing characters, acting and overall plot. The show is definitely one you could binge-watch for hours. The story revolves around a hot-shot New York lawyer Harvey Spector, played by Gabriel Macht and his young associate Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams.

The problem is Mike isn’t actually a lawyer, he was expelled out of college before going to Harvard Law. The rest of the series basically revolves around the two trying to hide Mike’s secret from coworkers, enemies and the U.S government. With eight seasons being released, you have a lot of content to catch up on. – Waleed Alamleh, Sports Reporter
