Weekly horoscopes: April 20 – April 26

Taurus season starts April 20 this year and ends May 20.

With the shift into Taurus season and the full moon in Libra still affecting us from Saturday, expect the vibes to be sensual and grounded. At this junction, we don’t feel the need to take life too seriously, and why should we? Life is meant to be enjoyed, and the stars encourage us to give in to simple pleasures.

Aries (March 20 to April 19)

Don’t lose hope. The transition out from your season can feel like the rug has been pulled out from under you. You might feel like your work cannot reach its highest caliber, but remember that your work does not define you. It is possible for you to thrive outside of your season, because you’re tough and you know it.

Taurus (April 20 to May 20)

Happy birth season! Encourage generosity in others. You may already be a generous person, but sometimes others may need a little push to give back. It’s your season now, your time to shine. Don’t feel pressured to give 100% of yourself to other people all the time; in fact, begin to fight back for some reciprocity. 

Gemini (May 21 to June 20)

Stay excited for the future! Whether you have an upcoming trip or a new job lined up, there is a lot of good coming your way, and you have every right to be excited for it. Make sure you are adequately prepared, because who knows if this change of pace will turn your life upside down? Expect some challenges, but stay optimistic.

Cancer (June 21 to July 21)

Cut out any unnecessary or toxic BS. What is actually good for you, and what is actually hindering you? Perhaps this is hard for you to discern, and that’s OK. That doesn’t mean you should stop trying. Self-reflect on how you spend your time: what’s truly productive, what’s truly therapeutic? It’s time for a clean slate.

Leo (July 22 to Aug. 22)

Don’t listen to self-doubt. If lately you’ve felt that you’re not good enough at what you do, know two things: one, you are not alone, and two, you are good enough. Just because you have a few rough days doesn’t mean all hope is lost. Even professionals hit bumps in the road. It’s OK to not be immune to mistakes.

Virgo (Aug. 23 to Sept. 22)

Keep chilling and vibing. As an earth sign, you get along well with other earth signs’ energy. Perhaps you feel some unrest in your system, as if something is off in the universe, but remember that you are adaptable. Just stay in your own little world until you feel ready to face the more difficult challenges of life.

Libra (Sept. 23 to Oct. 22)

Reach out to other people. You might be bad at it, you might be great at it, but you can’t let your pride get in the way of your physical or mental health. If something bad happens to you, people need to know about it so they can help you (and believe it or not, they want to help you!). Be humbled by your own vulnerability.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)

Practice compassion. You’re probably a very loving person, but have you considered showing it to everyone, not just close friends and family? It’s OK to bare your heart to the world, as long as you’re comfortable with it. People simply can’t talk to a stone cold wall all the time; let others see your hidden softness!

Sagittarius (Nov. 21 to Dec. 20)

Get your head in the game. You can’t fix the past, but you can make plans to optimize what is yet to be. Now is a good time to keep your head down and work on self-improvement, as well as more practical plans for the future. Of course you’re allowed to have fun once in a while, but entertaining yourself cannot be your priority anymore.

Capricorn (Dec. 21 to Jan. 19)

Your struggles are valid. You may be struggling with school or family matters right now, but you’ll rarely show others that struggle if you can avoid it. Try to find accessible therapy if you haven’t already. You never know how good it could be to just vent your frustrations to a completely unbiased third party.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 to Feb. 17)

Don’t get discouraged. A lot is happening right now, and you’ll probably get more stressed the more you think about it. The simplest solution is to stop thinking about it. Take some time to put your struggles completely out of your mind this week. Distract yourself briefly so that you can then attack your frustrations anew.

Pisces (Feb. 18 to March 19)

Have you been letting sadness get the best of you? Those under water signs are markedly more sensitive, but that doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you. The world is not out to get you; in fact, your biggest supporters live there. You’re never alone. Don’t let the stars fool you — you are strong and powerful.
