If you’re looking for events to attend this Family Weekend, NIU’s Campus Life is partnering with Jonamac Orchard to host Fall Fun at Jonamac Orchard this Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday’s event lasts from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For the hour before the start of the Fall Fun, Twisticity Bubbles will be performing their giant bubble show. Later on, the band Six-Pack will be performing live music from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The first day will host a wide variety of activities: a flashlight corn maze, fine wine and hard cider tastings all night and a music performance by Tom Rucker at 7 p.m. from 9 p.m. There also will be multiple food trucks each day.

Sunday will feature a juggler and stilt walker from 10 a.m. to noon. Bucktooth Sugar Brush, a bluegrass band from the DeKalb area, also will be performing from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday’s events end much sooner than the previous day, with festivities starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m.

Jonamac’s Orchard is known for giving orchard tours and apple wine and hard cider tastings. Located at 19412 Shabbona Rd in Malta, IL, the orchard is just 7 miles from NIU’s campus.
