DeKalb P.D. to fundraise for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

DeKALB– October is breast cancer awareness month and The City of DeKalb police department has announced a breast cancer awareness fundraiser. Officers at the DeKalb police department have purchased pink patches and badges to wear throughout October to encourage conversion in the community to promote awareness about the importance of early detection and the ongoing fight against breast cancer. 

Those who want to purchase a pink patch can stop by the DeKalb Police Department at 700 W Lincoln Highway, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.to 5 p.m. Patches are $10 each and the department will accept either cash or check payments.

Profits from the patch sales will be donated to Bringing Joy and Kitties Warrior both are local groups that help cancer patients in need.
