Tuesday

At 10 a.m., an officer was sent to the NIU Police Department lobby in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 9:14 p.m., officers were sent to Stevenson Towers North in regard to a report of cannabis. The officers made contact with a person in the room in question. The meeting resulted in the people being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.

Monday

At 6:53 p.m., officers responded to Wal-Mart, 2300 Sycamore Road, in regards to a report of a retail theft. Anthony J. Audino, 19, was arrested for retail theft, transported to DCPD, and released after posting bond.

At 10:58 p.m., officers identified a suspect down the alley of the 200 block of Palmer Court attempting to conceal an alcoholic beverage. Officers stopped the suspect, Ryan A. Banta, 28, and asked him for identification. Dispatch advised that Banta was arrested and transported to DCSO.
