Newman Center courses

NIU's Catholic Student Center will offer three new courses this semester.

Classes slated include "Apocalypse Now: The Book of Revelation for Today," which will be offered Mondays from 3 to 5 p.m., "Moral Decision-making: Difficult Choices for Complex Times," which will be offered on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m., and "Mystic Women: Females Saints in Christianity," which will be offered Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m.

Courses begin Sept. 10 and cost $40 for NIU students and senior citizens older than 62 and $65 for non-students. Course credits from this Loyola University extension are transferable to NIU.

DeKalb County Fair slated

THe DeKalb Conty Fair starts Wednesday Sept. 5 and will last until Sept. 9. The old-fashioned fair will be held in Sandwich Ill. Commercial exhibits, food booths and carnival rides are a few of the attractions as well as harness races and horseshoe pitching contests. Tickets for adults are $4 and include parking. Children under 12 will be admitted free on Wednesday.

Campus groups featured

Students are invited to attend the Organizational Expo ‘90 Sept. 12 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Holmes Student Center Ballroom. Campus groups will be present to sign up interested students.

The expo is sponsored by the office of University Programming and Activities. For more information call 753-1421.
