NIU volleyball’s Lauren Wicinski’s Monday tradition continued this week as the MAC announced the outside hitter as the MAC West Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. The freshman racked up 59 total points in two road wins over the weekend for the Huskies. Wicinski leads the MAC in aces, points and kills.

Football: For the second straight week, NIU quarterback Chandler Harnish garnered MAC West Offensive Player of the Week honors. The redshirt junior piled up 282 total yards and two passing touchdowns against Temple. With the player of the week selection, Harnish becomes the first quarterback in NIU history to be honored in consecutive weeks.   

The NIU women’s golf record books took a hit at the 26th annual Huskie Classic. With the conclusion of Sunday’s first round, NIU set a new school record for lowest overall score in a single round with 296. NIU would wind up finishing second overall in the Huskie Classic, finishing behind Brown University.
