Series hosts Middle Eastern Music Ensemble

NIU’s World Music Concert Series hosts the Middle Eastern Music Ensemble March 31 in the Music Building, Recital Hall. The Pan-Arabic music ranged from classical pieces to children’s songs from the Middle-East region. Instruments included clarinet, percussion, saxophone and violin, among others.

She spoke about this topic during the lecture event The Social Spaces of Hoarding. The event was held to support the hoarding art exhibition.

Volunteers help create seed library

Nathan Dettman resident of DeKalb and DeKalb Community Gardens volunteer helps sort seeds Tuesday at the Sycamore Library, 103 E State Street during their first seed bank collection and potluck. The seeds will be supplied to the community to begin food gardens with; the seed librarys' goal is to collect seeds after the crop, to promote seed diversity, and healthy eating. The dekalb Library will be holding another seed library and potluck on April 8th.
