MAC champion Olejnik enters transfer portal

DeKALB – Redshirt senior wrestler Izzak Olejnik announced that he is entering the transfer portal via his Twitter Monday.
Olejnik is fresh off his second straight Mid-American Conference Championship at 165 pounds. He also finished in eighth place at the NCAA Wrestling Championships from March 16 to March 18 and was named an All-American.
This season, Olejnik went undefeated in the MAC with a record of 6-0 and an 8-1 dual record en route to a 31-6 overall record.
Olejnik finished his career with the Huskies with a 97-32 overall record, including a 32-3 MAC record.
In his freshman year, Olejnik earned the MAC Freshman of the Year award and finished in second place at the MAC Wrestling Championships.
Olejnik has yet to announce his next team.
