IFC to kick off annual Tugs tournament

DeKALB – From Monday to Saturday, the Interfraternity Council is hosting the men’s Tug-O-War (nicknamed “Tugs”) tournament at 912 Edgebrook Drive. Competing in the annual philanthropy tournament are: Phi Kappa Psi, Delta Chi, Phi Sigma Kappa, Phi Kappa Theta, Alpha Sigma Phi, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Sigma Nu and Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

To buy tickets for the tournament, you can visit IFC’s eventbrite page. Ticket prices range from $10 to $80, and all proceeds go to Hope Haven.

Hope Haven of DeKalb County is a homeless shelter that provides meals, life skill programs and shelter to people before they are re-housed. 

On Saturday, there will be a live DJ, food trucks and a beer tent. The IFC is also hosting an alumni post-party at Fatty’s Pub & Grille. 

Northern Star will be uploading coverage on the Monday through Thursday matchups on YouTube. Saturday’s matches will be live-streamed via YouTube to cover the finals, third, fifth and seventh place.

Thursday:
