The NIU Student Veteran Association will be presenting a comedy show at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Carl Sandburg Auditorium.

Hosted by NIU student Xavier Smith, the event will feature headliner Jack Baker as well as comedians AJ Leiding and Adriel Compeon. The show is a fundraiser for the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Donations can be made in cash or sent via CashApp or Venmo.

Baker, an NIU alum who graduated in 2012, opened for notable comedians like Bobcat Goldthwait and “Everybody Loves Raymond” star Andy Kindler. The comedian, who works by day as a digital marketing strategist for an advertising agency in Wheaton, recently told NIU Today, “The challenge is pushing yourself to make the best art you can, while still finding a way to make a career out of it.”

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will go from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Free tickets to the event can be reserved at Huskie Hub.
