Kent State graduate third baseman Alexandria Whitmore (8) hits out to center field where NIU senior center fielder Ellis Erickson (23) makes a running catch for the third out of the seventh inning, leaving Kent State sophomore right fielder Brynn Libler (3) on first base. Erickson was a key component to NIU’s win Friday with her catching each hit to center field and scoring two runs for NIU. (Totus Tuus Keely | Northern Star)
