Journey with Me: My Weight Loss Trip Week Seven

By Abby Wisecarver

Week Seven

As my weight loss journey is coming to an end, I’ve realized it’s important to be mindful that life’s gonna happen, but you have to be willing to take care of yourself. These past weeks I have proven to myself that if I have a goal in mind, I can achieve said goal. The main reason for me doing this journey was not to solely lose weight, but to also set myself a healthy routine that I can easily continue to do for the rest of my life.

The Plan

This summer I not only wanted to lose weight but also to tighten my muscles and feel better about myself. I feel safe to say that I stuck to the plan, completing all three objectives.

Diet

As far as my diet goes, I wavered the most from my diet, but that’s okay. Nobody’s perfect and I can eat chocolate cake and ice cream once in a while. While it is important to feed your body healthy foods as it helps to energize you, it is totally acceptable to have a cheat day!

Exercise

Compared to the first week, my exercise time has doubled and I no longer struggle with the same exercises I once did. I rarely get sore anymore and plan to continue to exercise as often as I can.

Progress

I have made so much progress in these seven weeks and I am very proud of myself. I have lost a total of 15 pounds and I feel better than ever! I am so happy that I was able to set goals for myself and stick with it for seven week. Knowing what I know now, I can do anything I put my mind too and I am ready to take on the world!

This journey has given me a feeling of emotional gratification because I was able to complete something I set out to do. I’m so happy and proud of myself for finishing something like this, because it was hard some weeks, but I pushed through it and am reaping the benefits.
