NIU Police Department officials arrested and charged two non-NIU-affiliated men in connection to an aggravated assault that occurred at the Stevenson Towers Oct. 26.

Brian K. Allen and Isaiah R. Rucker fled the scene after the incident but are now in custody and facing charges of mob action and battery.

The altercation took place on the main floor of the Stevenson Towers, which resulted in one of three suspects displaying a handgun. The individual in possession of the handgun was taken into police custody that evening.
