An off-campus armed robbery was reported to have occurred at 4:17 p.m. today at DeKalb Country Credit Union, 305 E. Locust St.

No one was injured during the incident and the police deemed no imminent threat is present to the campus or surrounding community, according to an NIU Safety Bulletin.

The suspect, who was armed, was last seen heading eastbound towards Fourth St. The suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall, dark-skinned male who was wearing a hat, tan shirt, blue jeans and a dark blue-gray hooded sweatshirt, according to an NIU Safety Bulletin.

NIU Police are investigating the incident.
