This week: 3 ways to eat free on campus

By Northern Star staff

1. If you have a friend with a meal plan, ask them for one of their 10 guest swipes at 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 6 to celebrate National Coffee Ice Cream day. The event will be in Gilbert, Neptune, New Hall and Stevenson Dining Halls. Each of the dining centers will offer coffee, salted caramel and vanilla flavored ice cream and various coffee-inspired toppings.

2. Do you like ice cream? What about getting involved? Check out Second-Year Experience’s event “Opportunities and Ice Cream” 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in Altgeld Hall, Room 100. The event has free ice cream and information about on-campus opportunities.

3. “Upscale TV dinner” night is 4 to 8 p.m. Sept 8 in Gilbert, Neptune, New Hall and Stevenson Dining Halls. Treat yourself to carved roast turkey, five cheese macaroni and cheese, roasted asparagus, garlic mashed red potatoes and more. Get this special meal with a guest swipe from your friends meal plan.
