Theta Chi has moved into a new home at 829 Greenbrier Road, according to a Theta Chi news release.

The house has undergone complete renovations, and the chapter hopes to formally move in by January, according to Theta Chi.

Theta Chi, Pi Colony Chapter, was originally chartered at NIU on Jan. 7 1961, said to Fred Cimaglio, 1963 Theta Chi president. It left campus in 1991 because of a drop in enrollment and financial troubles, according to an Oct. 2013 Northern Star article.

The Greek organization returned to the NIU in January 2014.

“It is an exciting time for the chapter,” Cimaglio said, according to Theta Chi. “They have worked very hard to create the Theta Chi fraternity presence once again at NIU.”
