Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra to hold 38th season finale

The Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra performs Oct. 11 in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall. The concert featured the world premiere of composer Adam Silverman’s “The Hedgehog’s Dilemma: Concerto for Violin and Cello,” which had solos from sisters Elisa and Amy Sue Barston.

The Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra will hold its 38th season finale Saturday at the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall.

The symphony orchestra will perform “Symphony No. 31,” “Songs of a Wayfarer” and “The Rite of Spring” at 7:30 p.m.

Music director Linc Smelser will hold a lecture before the performances at 6:30 p.m. in the Music Building, Room 173.

Tickets may be purchased at the door and prices are:

• $15 for adults

• $10 for people 62 and older

• $10 for students

• $5 for children under 12 years old
