WOMS students hold bake sale to raise awareness of human trafficking

By Northern Star staff

WOMS 436H students will hold a bake sale to raise awareness of human trafficking 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in Founders Memorial Library.

“We believe that one of the biggest tools against slavery is awareness and the more we can recognize it the more we can diffuse it,” said senior history major Jessie Shattuck.

The students are raising money to go toward an ad campaign to spread awareness around campus about modern slavery. For more information contact, Shattuck at [email protected].
