NIU ranked 37th on a list of the 50 most underrated colleges in America, according to Business Insider.

 Business Insider compared US News’ rankings of the best universities to PayScale’s College Salary Report, which ranks colleges based on their graduates’ mid-career salaries. The underrated list consists of those with low rankings on the US News list, but with high mid-career salaries, according to Business Insider’s website.

NIU falls 37th on the list with a US News rank of 194 and a PayScale rank of 349.

Topping the list is the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a US News rank of 149 and a PayScale rank of 61.
