Provost candidate visits next week

Marek Dollár, candidate for executive vice president and provost, will be at NIU Monday and Tuesday.

University staff and community members may meet with Dollár in an open forum 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Monday in Altgeld Hall, Room 315.

Faculty may meet with Dollár in an open forum 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday in Altgeld Hall, Room 315.

Students may meet with Dollár in an open forum 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Altgeld Hall, Room 315.

Dollár is the dean of the College of Engineering and Computing at Miami University of Ohio.

Previously, Dollár was professor and chair of the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Dollár earned his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate in engineering science from AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland.

Feedback forms, which will be given to NIU President Doug Baker, will be distributed at each forum.
