Look fit and fashionable

A popular New Year’s resolution is working out more and staying fit, but most resolutions are not followed through the whole year.
According to ProactiveChange.com, only 46 percent of New Year’s resolutions are maintained after six months.
So what can help keep your fitness goal? The answer is easy and simple: new workout wear.
Patricia Moreno, a Fitness advisory board member from FitnessMagazine.com, said to stock up on at least one week’s worth of gym outfits to eliminate any last minute washes. This will save you time in the long run for a better, stronger workout.
According to SparkPeople.com, Health and Fitness writer Leanne Beattie follows these rules of thumb when she shops for new workout apparel: comfort, wicking ability, perfect fit, versatile, technology advanced and activity appropriate. Having the right apparel makes workouts become a hobby and less of a task.
Senior pre-physical therapy major Deborah Hilby wants to look cute whenever she works out, especially when running outside and playing tennis.
“New workout clothes make me feel like I’m in shape and putting it on gives me that extra boost of motivation,” Hilby said. “It makes me more confident when I look good working out.”
Hilby trusts Nike for her fitness fashion.
Other popular workout brands include Under Armour, Adidas, Lululemon and C9 by Champion for Target. Workout apparel comes in ranges of prices for all fitness lovers.
“I buy new workout clothes once a month,” said Caleb Bardy, sophomore pre-pharmacy and biology major. “It brings a positive attitude when you workout harder, pushing yourself as far as you can go.”
Bardy’s favorite workout is chest, so he goes by moisture-wicking T-shirts, especially by Nike.
Bardy’s New Year’s resolution is to stick to a better diet and new workout wear will encourage him to stay motivated in and out of the gym.
Fitness apparel is turning functional to fashionable.
“Workout wear is becoming a new trend in and out of the gym,” said junior nutrition major Analysa Irvin.
Irvin’s favorite workout brands are Under Armour and Nike.
Both men and women have similar favorite workout brands. It goes to show that fashionable fitness wear is very popular.
Let new fitness wear inspire you in your next workout and New Year.
