Sept. 12, 2012
At 12:29 p.m., an officer was sent to the NIU police department lobby in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
At 5:04 p.m., an officer was sent to West Stadium Drive in regard to a report of a stolen license plate. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
Sept. 13, 2012
At 8:30 a.m., an officer obtained an arrest warrant for a person who criminally trespassed on real property on Sept. 5.
At 5:00 p.m., Angel Randle, 31, of DeKalb, turned himself into an officer at the NIU Police Department. Randle had an active warrant for his arrest for a traffic offense. He was processed at the NIU Police Department and released on a $150 bond.
At 8:15 p.m., an officer was sent to the Campus Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 11:11 p.m., an officer was sent to the 1100 block of Garden Road in regard to a report of theft that occurred earlier at Wirtz Hall. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.
Sept. 14, 2012
At 8:02 p.m. on Sept. 11, an officer was sent to the Campus Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. As of Friday, this case is administratively closed due to a lack of leads.
At 1 a.m., a person at the east side of the New Residence Hall Complex was found to have unlawfully consumed alcohol and be in possession of a fraudulent driver’s license. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
At 2:57 a.m., Jonathan Aguirre, 19, of Wheeling, was found to have unlawfully consumed alcohol. Aguirre provided the officers with a fake date of birth. Later that day, an arrest warrant for obstruction of identification was obtained for the offender. On Friday, at 3 a.m., Aguirre was placed under arrest and sent to the NIU Police Department. He was booked and released after posting bond.
At 9:45 a.m., Cateece James, 22, of Chicago, was placed under arrest after an arrest warrant for forgery was served at DuSable Hall. James was sent to the NIU Police Department. She was booked and released after posting bond.
At 11:55 a.m., Matthew Symborski, 22, of DeKalb, was placed under arrest after an arrest warrant for failure to appear on an obstructing and resisting arrest was served at 1110 Varsity Blvd. Symborski was sent to the NIU Police Department. He was booked and released after posting bond.
At 12:20 p.m., the theft of a lost cellphone was reported to have occurred from outside a classroom in DuSable Hall. The case is open pending further investigation.
At 10 a.m., the theft of a lost iPod was reported to have occurred in Neptune Central. The item was left unattended in a public area. This case is open pending further investigation.
At 9 p.m., a person was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia at Stevenson Tower North. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
At 11:40 p.m., at the 900 block of Greenbrier Road, a person was found to have unlawfully consumed alcohol. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
At 9 p.m., a person was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia at Stevenson Tower North. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.

At 12:45 a.m., at the 800 block of Fotis Drive, a person was found to have unlawfully consumed alcohol. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
At 1:32 a.m., a person was asked several times to leave the exterior of the Campus Recreation Center after being denied entry to a social event. The person refused and was placed under arrest. He was sent to the NIU Police Department and charged with criminal trespass to land. After being booked, he was released on I-Bond.
At 1:30 a.m., Andre Harris, 19, of Chicago, was asked several times to leave the exterior of the Campus Recreation Center after being denied entry to a social event. Harris refused and was placed under arrest. He was sent to the NIU Police Department and charged with criminal trespass to land and unlawful consumption of alcohol. After he was booked, he was released on an I-Bond.
At 1:55 a.m., several people were found to have unlawfully consumed alcohol and be in possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia at Grant Tower North. The people were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
At 3 a.m., Ralph Johnson, of Chicago, was asked several times to leave the exterior of the Campus Recreation Center after being denied entry to a social event. He was placed under arrest and sent to the NIU Police Department. He was charged with criminal trespass to land. After being booked, he was released on bond.
At 3:10 a.m., Brianna Roberts, 19, of South Holland, was found to have unlawfully consumed alcohol at Lot 15E. Roberts became combative with officers and was placed under arrest. She was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol and resisting a peace officer. She was sent to the DeKalb County jail.
At 9 p.m., a person was found to be in possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
At 10:12 p.m., an armed robbery was reported to have occurred on the exterior of the Convocation Center. The case is open pending further investigation.
At 11 p.m., a person was found to be in possession of cannabis at Douglas Hall. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
At 11:30 p.m., two people were found at the east side of the New Residence Hall Complex to have unlawfully consumed alcohol. Both people were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
