Monday

At 1:06 p.m., a DeKalb police officer on patrol observed a driver in a white vehicle not wearing a seat belt. The officer initiated a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Loren Drive. The driver, Taneesha M. Plair, 21, of Calumet City, was charged with driving on a suspended license, not wearing a seat belt and having no insurance. Plair was arrested, taken to the DeKalb Police Department and later released on bond.
