The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday

At 1:03 p.m., a DeKalb police officer on bike patrol observed a female drive east in the 1000 block of West Hillcrest Drive. The car had no front license plate. The officer caught up with the car as the driver parked and spoke with the driver. The driver, Antoineisha L. Williams, 18, of DeKalb, admitted to having a suspended driver’s license and said she had gone to get food for her boyfriend in his car. The owner of the car, Brian L. Sherman, 21, of DeKalb, came out and argued with the officer that the female was not driving when the officer pulled up to her. The officer told Sherman that Williams had gone to get food for him. The officer issued Sherman a citation for allowing Williams to drive. Sherman told the officer he thought Williams got her license “taken care of.” Williams said she had not said that. Williams was taken to the DeKalb Police Department and charged with driving with a suspended license.
