The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sunday

At 11:01 p.m., a DeKalb police officer observed a vehicle travelling northbound on Peace Road from the I-88 exit. The officer observed the vehicle had no front license plate. A registration check on the vehicle revealed the plates belonged to an Infinity but the plates were on a Jeep. The officer initiated a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Peace Road. The driver, Nicholas J. Ciccone, 19, of St. Charles, said he purchased the vehicle and provided the paperwork to verify the information. The officer then found the driver’s license was suspended. Ciccone was charged with driving with a suspended license and having no insurance. Ciccone was arrested, transported to the DeKalb Police Department and later released on bond.

Monday

At 1:46 a.m., a DeKalb police officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to dim headlights in the 400 block of South Annie Glidden Road. Both occupants of the vehicle admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. After an investigation, Marisol Perez, 21, of Chicago, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, failure to dim headlights and illegal transportation of alcohol.
