Friday
At 9:55 a.m., DeKalb Police observed a speeding vehicle in the 700 block of North Peace Road. The officer performed a traffic stop and the driver, Pepe G. Celis, 19, of DeKalb, was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station and released on bond.
Saturday
At 12:16 p.m., DeKalb Police observed a driver without a seat belt in the 1000 block of West Hillcrest Drive. The officer performed a traffic stop and learned the driver, William Cade, 27, of Chicago, had no insurance and was driving with a suspended license. Cade was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station and released on bond.
Sunday
At 10:08 p.m., DeKalb Police responded to the 1000 block of West Hillcrest Drive for a report of an intoxicated man refusing to leave a store. Upon arrival, officers found the man, Mauro Hernandez-Tempa, 44, of DeKalb, outside of the store. An employee told the officer that Hernandez-Tempa had dropped something inside the store. The officer was shown a plastic bag with a white substance inside. The substance field tested positive for cocaine. Hernandez-Tempa was arrested and charged with the unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the DeKalb Police Station for booking. He was later taken to DeKalb County Jail.
Monday
At 3:51 a.m., DeKalb Police responded to the 300 block of South Tenth Street for a report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, the person told police there was a house guest refusing to leave. Police learned the subject, Charles R. Donnerson, 26, of DeKalb, was wanted on a Failure To Appear warrant for an open container. Donnerson was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station and was released on bond.
At 9:45 p.m., DeKalb Police checked the registration of a vehicle in the 100 block of East Lincoln Highway. The check revealed that the owner had an active arrest warrant. The officer performed a traffic stop and confirmed that the driver was the owner of the vehicle. Jeremiah Calvin, 30, of DeKalb was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station and was released on bond.
