DeKalb crime blotter for April 5

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

  • At 11:40 p.m. Thursday, DeKalb Police in the 900 block of North Annie Glidden Road performed a traffic stop on a vehicle. Police learned the driver, Hassan Coleman, 20, of DeKalb, was driving with a suspended license. Coleman was taken to the police station and later released on bond.
  • At 9:14 p.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police in the 1100 block of North First Street found a subject wanted on a warrant. Police confirmed the subject, Martin J. Raheem, 18, of DeKalb, had a warrant for resisting a peace officer. Raheem was unable to post bond and was taken to the DeKalb County Jail.
  • At 5:53 p.m. on Sunday, DeKalb Police in the 900 block of Crane Drive performed a traffic stop on a vehicle. Police learned the driver, Sead D. Berek-Wiren, 23, of Rockford, was driving with a suspended license and had obstructed identification. Berek-Wiren was taken to the police station and later released on bond.
  • At 9:51 p.m. on Thursday, DeKalb Police in the 900 block of Oak Street performed a traffic stop on a vehicle. Police learned the driver, Armando Ferral-Mujica, 19, of DeKalb, had suspended registration for mandatory insurance, a revoked driver’s license, and five failure to appear warrants for various traffic offenses. Police also learned the passenger, Manual Hernandez, 33, of DeKalb, had failure to appear warrant for a DUI. Hernandez and Ferral-Mujica were taken to the DeKalb County Jail.
