DeKalb city crime blotter for Feb. 8

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

  • At 5:00 p.m. on Monday, DeKalb Police responded to the 1000 block of Annie Glidden Road to reference a person wanted on a valid warrant. Police located Jahmaal A Stapleton, 19, of DeKalb, and confirmed he had a failure to appear warrant for assault. Stapleton was arrested and taken to the police station. He was later released on bond.
  • At 2:33 p.m. on Monday, DeKalb Police stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of First Street for speeding in a school zone. Police learned the driver, Jeffrey Augustus, 38, of DeKalb, was driving with a revoked license and operating an uninsured vehicle. Augustus was arrested and taken to the police station. He was later released on bond.
