DeKalb city crime blotter for Feb. 25

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
- At 7 p.m. Wednesday, DeKalb Police in the 100 block of Lincoln Highway checked the registry of a vehicle. Police performed a traffic stop and learned the driver, Jacob N. Marion, 22, of St. Charles, had a suspended license, a failure to appear warrant for driving with a suspended license and no insurance. Marion was arrested and unable to post bond. He was later taken to the DeKalb County jail.
- At 11:14 p.m. Wednesday, DeKalb Police in the 1000 block of Hillcrest Drive stopped a vehicle that failed to dim its high beams. Police learned the driver, Tommi K. Jett, 21, of DeKalb, had no valid driver’s license, no insurance and had initially provided false identification. Jett was arrested and unable to post bond. She was later taken to the DeKalb County Jail.
- At 10:26 p.m. Wednesday, DeKalb Police in the 900 block of Lincoln Highway checked the plates of a vehicle. Police learned the driver, Debra M. Russ, 19, of Round Lake Beach, was driving with a suspended license and had an expired registration. Russ was arrested and taken to the police station. She was later released on bond.
