Wednesday

• At 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, DeKalb Police observed a vehicle in the 500 block of West Hillcrest Drive leave the roadway twice to avoid speed tables. After a traffic stop was conducted, police learned the driver’s license was suspended. Keith O. Brookins, 54, of Hoffman Estates, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage. Brookins was taken to the DeKalb Police Department and later released on bond.

Thursday

• At 2:20 a.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle in the 700 block of South First Street turn without using a signal. After a traffic stop was conducted police observed the driver was not properly wearing their seat belt and learned the driver’s license was suspended. Sarah A. Keating, 28, of DeKalb, was issued citations. Police also learned Kevin M. Krich, 29, of DeKalb, the registered owner of the vehicle, had a warrant out on him. Krich was later located and arrested for a failure to appear warrant. He was taken to the DeKalb Police Department and later transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently being held on bond.
