Richard Randall’s character suits the position of Kendall County Sheriff

By Letter to the editor

I was hired by Sheriff Richard Randall in 1991 as one of the first female deputies to work in Corrections for Kendall County.

I was 23 years old, a single mom without an education except for a high school diploma and had no clue as to what I wanted to do in life. It has now been 19 years and I still work for Sheriff Randall. I started out as a Corrections Deputy and throughout the years worked as a Courthouse Security Deputy and Corrections Sergeant. I am now the Corrections Commander for the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Randall has always said to “Do the right thing, for the right reasons, at the right time. Be responsible for your actions, be honest and have integrity.” I have listened to Sheriff Randall over the years and have always had his full support in my life’s endeavors that included; completing my education, having the confidence to lead the corrections division through both good and bad times, and raising my children to know and understand what it means to be responsible, be honest and have integrity.

Sheriff Randall has always had my support and continues to have it. Please join me on Nov. 2 in re-electing Sheriff Randall as sheriff of Kendall County. He is the right choice for Kendall County.
