Campus blotter for Sept. 9

At 9:41 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a domestic battery in progress at Northern View Complex Building 4. The

complainant advised that her boyfriend shoved her several times. After talking with the complainant and alleged offender, the male was arrested for domestic battery. He was processed at the NIU Police Department and transported to the DeKalb County Correctional Facility.

At 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, an officer responded to Neptune North regarding a theft of a bicycle. The theft is alleged to have occurred between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, from the bicycle rack near Neptune North. Due to no leads and no suspects, this case is administratively closed.

At 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct in the Douglas Hall cafeteria. Upon arrival, they talked with a complainant who stated that an unknown person made a threatening comment toward her. Canvas of the area did not reveal the identity of the offender. Pending further leads, this case is administratively closed.

At 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, an officer observed a banned person enter the Stevenson South main lobby. The person was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to land. He was processed at the NIU Police Department and released after posting bond.

At 9:33 a.m. Tuesday, an officer responded to the third floor of Lincoln Hall B Wing regarding the odor of cannabis. Interaction with a resident of the specified room produced cannabis and drug paraphernalia. The resident was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis 30 grams and under.
