‘Heroes’ to return Sept. 22

By HEATHER SKRIP

“Heroes” begins again Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. on NBC, so I decided to list five reasons why everyone should give the show a chance.

1) Sylar: He eats brains, never seems to die and posesses enough superpowers to give Peter Petrelli a run for his money. Where else can you find a character who is so disturbed, yet so

intriguing? The complexity of his mind really keeps the turns coming in the series. Not to mention the fact that he is so darned good-looking.

2) It’s addicting: I dare anyone to watch just one episode of “Heroes.” The show’s just as addicting as other dramas, like “Lost,” except that the makers of “Heroes” actually answer lingering questions in a timely manner.

3) It’s totally unpredictable: The show is not cliché in any way and the cliffhangers are intense and surprising.

4) The powers: There’s such a variety of powers that it would put “X-Men” and the rest of Marvel Comics to shame. As the seasons progress, the powers get stronger, more interesting and have greater impacts on the future.

5) The new storyline: The teasers for the new season intrigue viewers by raising the question if any of the “heroes” could now be villains.I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
