On beautiful Wisteria Lane the enticing lies, scandals, affairs, and ailments continue to season four of ABC’s Desperate Housewives..

Edie (played by Nicollette Sheridan), Susan (played by Terri Hatcher), Bree (played by Marcia Cross), Lynette (played by Felicity Huffman), and Gabby (played by Eva Longoria Parker) bring their neighborhood gossip to a new level as their new neighbor Catherine (played by Dana Delaney) shakes things up along with the new life partner couple Bob and Lee.

In this past Sunday’s episode Bob and Lee place a hideous statue in their yard that not only looks ugly, but also doubles as an annoying fountain. The ladies of Wisteria Lane gather together to admire the couple’s “piece of art”.

Agreeing that the fountain must go the newest member Catherine, who has returned to Wisteria Lane after leaving for a job that didn’t work out in Chicago, nominates herself to reform the Homeowner’s Association. She declares that after the election her fist duty will be to get rid of the fountain.

At the same time Lynette is still struggling to fight her cancer and give the allusion of being a healthy mom. Tired of hearing about all the “sick business” the children retreat to their tree house and tell Lynette that she is banned from the tree house unless she promises not to talk about cancer or doctors.

It is in that moment that Lynette blames herself for what she believes is ruining her children’s childhood. Lynette decides to run against Catherine in an attempt to save the tree house for her children.

As if the drama was not at its peak, Bree and Orson (played by Kyle MacLachlan) are having to deal with Bree’s conniving mother-in-law from her previous marriage.

Having broken Bree’s teenage daughter Danielle (played by Joy Lauren) out of the convent where she was to stay until she had her baby, Danielle’s grandmother tries to stir up trouble with Bree. After some comedic bribary of a new car and money for the college of her dreams Danielle decides to go home with her parents.

Bree gets what she wants in having a second chance at motherhood by agreeing with her daughter that it would be best if the baby stayed at home so Danielle can focus on her studies.

Of course it would fail to be Wisteria Lane if there was a lack of a love affair. Gabby and Carlos (played by Ricardo Antonio Chavira) continue to sneak around behind their partners’ backs.

Creatively escaping to a hotel after realizing victor has sent someone to watch over the house while he is gone, Gabby and Carlos continue their steamy affair. This time, Gabby and Carlos get into a fight after the man who Gabby cheated on Carlos shows up at her hotel room after seeing her in the hotel lobby. Carlos loses his head and storms out.

Later Carlos shows up at Gabby’s home and says he is going to break off his engagement with Edie if Gabby will end her marriage with Victor. Gabby agrees and they kiss passionately in front of the window as the hired stalker takes photos.

Meanwhile Catherine becomes president of the Homeowner’s Association and finally acts like a neighbor in telling Lynette that her children can keep their tree house. She also tells Bob and Lee that they can take as much time as they need to in order to get rid of the fountain.

Twisting things around Bob and Lee fight back to keep their precious statue stating that they know why Catherine and her husband left Chicago so fast. The statue is safe under the knowledge of the secret scandal.

To top off the dramatically astonishing episode the hired stalker lays down the photos of Gabby and Carlos kissing on the coffee table. Shockingly it is not victor who the stalker is talking to.

Edie’s face is heart stopping as the look of revenge is written all over her face. The episode concludes with the familiar narrator stating that the secrets on Wisteria Lane are only safe for the moment.

This coming Sunday’s 8 p.m. episode is definitely going to be thrilling.
