Professors John Hartmann, Richard Orem and David Taylor are the 2006 recipients of the Presidential Teaching Professors award.

The three recipients also will receive a $2,000 boost in their base salary pay as well as a $5,000 grant for field research for four years. The money is intended to help the professors become better teachers and more knowledgeable in their research.

After a period of four years, each award winner will become a Distinguished Teaching Professor, according to an NIU press release. What do the recipients plan to do with their grants?
