From hot to hopeless, give them all a shot

In these crazy dating years, we spend our time trying to find out what works, what doesn’t and who we belong with. Not all of us find Mr. or Ms. Right instantly, but you can still have fun with the wrong ones. There are certain types everyone should experience before throwing their caps in the air. The following list details five people you need to date:

The hottie — The person that’s really far better looking than you, but for some reason is willing to date you. Take lots of pictures together. When you look back at your college days, you can point at the two of you and say, “Yep, we dated.” Not a lot of common interests, eh? Well, maybe if you’re lucky, you’ll get to see them naked.

Mother approved — Ever bring one home to mom since you’ve been here? No, huh? This one has fantastic conversational skills, they smile often and they know when it’s not appropriate to talk about the splendor of last night’s bedroom romp. The one your mom is sure to love. Bring them home and mom will stop worrying if you’re on the right track socially. And academically? Well, at least you’re still here.

The virgin — I’m not talking the “I’m saving myself for marriage” holy virgin. Although, that would be quite the feat if you could swing that one. I’m talking the nerdy, has-no-game virgin. It would make their day. Actually, if the virgin is a male, it’ll make for the greatest two minutes of his life. They will always remember you, and probably fondly. Not convincing? Just take one for the team, all right?

The dumb jock/blonde — The one that babbles often and all you can do is look at them and think, “You’re so pretty.” One week of dating them and you’ll feel like a genius. When you come out of that relationship your self-esteem will be at an all time high. Now you’re ready to go out there and meet someone more at your level. Intellectually, of course.

Opposites attract — Don’t limit yourself to a certain type. College is a learning experience, and the people you surround yourself with are a part of that. Dating those with different interests can open your eyes to many things, be it movies, music or hobbies. All you have to do is be open to it.

It may be possible to skip a few steps if you find someone that encompasses more than one of these traits.
