Hip-hop artist Ciara and rap artist Twista will headline this year’s Homecoming Jam at the Convocation Center Friday, Oct. 14.

“Two of the acts, Ciara and Twista, are official and hopefully by the end of [Wednesday] we will have a third act announced,” said Kevin Selover, marketing manager for the Convo Center.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. Oct. 14 and the show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets for students will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9 and will be available to the general public at noon. Tickets will cost $29.50 for students with a valid NIU OneCard and $35.50 for the general public.

“The student price is available by box office only,” Selover said.

The concert will be the third annual Homecoming Jam and ticket sales expectations are high. Last year’s show featured Young Buck and Lloyd Banks.

The Convo books acts in coordination with the Campus Activities Board, Selover said.

“Two years ago when Ludacris was here, it was a great Homecoming Jam. The attendance was high and last year was successful as well,” Selover said. “Hopefully we will beat the numbers from last year’s Jam.”
