The NIU student struck by a pizza delivery vehicle Monday night was treated and released from Kishwaukee Community Hospital Tuesday night, said Lt. Matt Kiederlen of University Police.

Kiederlen was unable to confirm the status of the man’s injuries.

The student was walking behind a parked car at about 9 p.m. when the pizza delivery vehicle entered the service drive outside Grant Towers North and struck the student.

The man was pinned briefly between the parked car and the pizza-delivery vehicle, witnesses reported.
