Four teenagers have been arrested by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department for a residential burglary that happened in Kirkland last month.

The last of the four teenagers turned himself in Monday afternoon to the sheriff’s department.

Joshua L. Scheen, 18, of Kirkland was wanted on a warrant for residential burglary. Scheen was charged along with Jessie J. Wylde, 17, of Kirkland and two 14-year-old male juveniles, also from Kirkland. Wylde and the two juveniles each were charged with a count of residential burglary and another count of possession of a stolen firearm.

The burglary, which was reported on March 27, occurred on the 400 block of West North Street in Kirkland. Sheriff Roger Scott said a shotgun, shells and food items were taken in the burglary. There was no forced entry into the residence and the doors were not locked, Scott said.

He said that the investigators developed the names of the four young men shortly after the case began, and the two juveniles were arrested first. Wylde was brought in on the warrant April 4 and was released from custody after posting $20,000 bond. Scheen posted $30,000 bond after turning himself in on Monday.

Scheen and Wylde face three to seven years in prison or up to a $25,000 fine for the residential burglary charge. Wylde has the additional possession of a stolen firearm charge which carries a penalty of two to five years behind bars. The punishment for the two 14-year-olds will depend on the juvenile court system, Scott said.
