The DeKalb County Health Department announced 10 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number to 8,662.

DeKALB — NIU announced Wednesday that four additional students and three employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and three students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Wednesday, 40 students and 12 employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 538 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 486 have recovered.

As of  Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., NIU is at 4.3%  quarantine and isolation use, the same as Tuesday.

COVID-19 Screen Checklist

The NIU COVID-19 Helpline has been replaced by an online checklist. Students, faculty or staff who test positive, are exposed to or experience COVID-19 symptoms are required to complete the checklist. Additional guidance will be given via email upon completion of the checklist.
