DeKALB — NIU announced Monday that 15 additional students and no employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and no students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Monday, 21 students and one employee are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 628 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 606 have recovered.

As of Monday at 3:00 p.m., NIU is at 4.3% quarantine and isolation use, a 3.7% increase from Friday.

Move-in Gateway Testing

Students are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test the day of their move-in and then immediately quarantine until their results are received. NIU will post results as they come in and will summarize all move-in results by Jan. 13.
