The DeKalb County Health Department announced 10 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number to 8,662.

DeKALB — NIU announced Friday that two additional students and no employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and eight students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Friday, 41 students and seven employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 673 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 625 have recovered.

As of Friday at 3 p.m., NIU is at a 4.9% quarantine and isolation use, a 3.1% decrease from Thursday.

What to do if you test positive

Faculty, staff and students are to complete the COVID-19 Checklist if diagnosed with COVID-19, have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
